OUR MISSION AND HISTORY
Who We Are
Connecting Stories is a women-led Community Interest Company – founded in January 2018 and incorporated as a CIC in July 2024 – where the power of lived experience drives change. We capture and broadcast real-world success stories that shift mindsets, mobilise action and prove what’s possible for every woman and girl.
What We Do
We accelerate social mobility for marginalised women and girls through three connected pillars:
- Financial Empowerment
Budgeting, debt-free living, saving and first-step investing—benefits that ripple outward to families, local economies and, ultimately, global society. - Career Development
Mentoring, employability coaching and hands-on training in Technology and AI Automation so participants stay relevant—and lead—in a fast-changing world. - Personal Growth
Evidence-based programmes that build confidence, resilience and community leadership, reinforced by the power of sharing personal stories
How We Scale Impact
Strategic alliances with companies, charities and universities amplify our reach. Their volunteers help us run local and global programmes that reach the women and girls who need them most.
Our Track Record (2018-24)
- 2,500+ hours of coaching, training and mentoring
- 78 % of alumnae increased earnings or savings within six months
- 80 % now hold leadership roles at work or in their communities
Vision
Every woman and girl has the tools, opportunities and voice to shape her own story—and, in doing so, lift others.
