Problem / Challenge
Financial literacy remains one of the most powerful yet overlooked tools for women’s empowerment. Many women, despite their ambitions, face barriers in understanding investment opportunities, managing personal finances, and building long-term wealth. Recognising this gap, Connecting Stories set out to bridge the divide by creating a safe, practical, and interactive space where women could learn to take control of their financial futures.
What We Did
The EmpowerHer: Financial Literacy Masterclass for Women brought together women from diverse professional and personal backgrounds for an engaging session focused on financial education, investment readiness, and wealth management.
Through expert-led discussions and hands-on exercises, participants explored budgeting, savings strategies, and the psychology of money. The masterclass provided women with actionable steps to align their financial habits with their goals and values.
With 92 registered attendees, the session achieved remarkable impact — more than 75% of participants gained a stronger understanding of investment strategies and financial tools, leaving with renewed confidence to make informed financial decisions.
One practical takeaway from the event is getting my finances organised and fit for purpose.
